Ariana’s Senior Photoshoot
Ariana came to me several months before her photoshoot to share her ideas with me. She came across as an organized young lady with a keen eye for how she wanted to be portrayed.
She knew she wanted a 90’s feel to her shoot. She was inspired by looks from the movie Clueless. She also mentioned wanting to make sure she got photos with a graduation cap.
After looking through her inspiration photos, I noticed a lot of photos were taken in a classroom or with a school desk. I told Ariana I would procure a graduation cap in her school color and a school desk that we could use as a prop.
Afterward, I sent her a link to my Senior Questionnaire to help me get to know her, understand her vision, and to give me material to complete her Senior Magazine. Through her questionnaire, I learned how important it was for her to include her mom, brother, and grandparents in her photos.
A few days before her shoot, Ariana told me she also wanted to incorporate a traditional Mexican dress for a more dramatic look. This was so exciting to me because I love shooting this type of look.
My personal favorite photo from our shoot
At the end of the day, everyone was smiling and happy. We all had a great time and everyone seemed to be comfortable in front of the camera. After Ariana chose her favorites, I edited her photos, and put together a draft of her magazine.
We’re currently waiting to receive the hard copy in the mail, but below is a preview of her Senior Magazine that we designed using her and her mother’s words. I hope she cherishes this forever!
